Hack: Get surface protection from germs, dirt, and chemical residue that may be on work table surfaces not regularly cleaned. Commonly shared spaces such as conference tables, counters, desktops, coffee shop and restaurant tables become safe, clean workspaces with a desk mat. Carry the compact and lightweight mats in work bags for on the go working needs. Before setting your work materials out, place the mat to create a clean, sanitary, and germ-free work surface.

Glycerin is naturally produced in soap (a natural moisturizer). Without this natural glycerin, a commercial bar of soap will dry out your skin and face quickly. Take the test. Wash your hands with each, you will notice the difference immediately! Commercial soaps add fillers (inexpensive synthetic detergents) which will make more soap and create a greater profit.

All of our soaps are made in small batches by hand with premium ingredients starting with botanical and essential oils, joined with luxurious herbs, clays, and scented with essential oils. Unlike other manufacturers, we will never make our soaps with palm oil or artificial fragrance. Why? The palm oil industry has a devastating impact on some of the world’s most endangered animals and creates dangerous working environments for our farmer friends abroad. Until palm oil production has sustainable practices, we won’t be using any in our products. The term “fragrance” under an ingredient list may contain over 100 ingredients and companies do not have to disclose it because it is a “trade secret”. Even some products claiming that it is “unscented” may in fact contain scents to mask other ingredients in a product. At The Organic For You, we promise this budding relationship will be one without secrets. All our ingredients will be fully disclosed. When bathing with our soap, please take care using a proper soap dish that will drain away the water after bathing. Our handmade soaps will keep for months and months! So we know that goats' milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids is very nourishing for skin. Dogs' skin pH is 6.8; goat milk pH is 6.4-6.7 making it a perfect compliment for animals. It will soften your dogs' skin and nourish their coat while helping to repel pests. It also rinses off much easier than most dog shampoos.

Available in a mild, clean scent of cedarwood and lavender or an unscented version.

Exfoliating Your Hands

Hands show age the fastest, mainly because the skin there is thin. To keep your hands looking young, start treating them the same way you treat the skin on your face.

Beat your dead skin with the gloves therapy overnight moisturizing method, using ground coffee as an exfoliant. You may drink coffee for the eye-opening caffeine, the rich aroma, and the comforting warmth. But don’t toss out those old grounds when your morning pot is empty! 

Coffee beans contain natural oils which are activated by heat application.  

Use those old grounds and make this scrub;

4 Tablespoons coconut, olive, or preferred oil

6 Tablespoons very finely ground coffee

a few drops of preferred essential oil, optional

Combine ingredients in a small bowl.

Gently rub coffee scrub in circles to help remove dry skin.

Clean as much as you can with a paper towel then rinse off with warm water for gloriously moisturized and exfoliated hands.

Store in airtight container.

You can exfoliate your hands in the shower  but be careful as the oil make the tub slippery, or you keep this scrub by the sink for a bit of pampering every day. 

Be sure to apply a rich hand cream after moisturizing in order to keep your hands looking young for longer.  During the day use a hand cream with SPF in it.

Coffee is one of the richest sources of antioxidants. Antioxidants are so important for the skin because they protect the skin against free radicals that damage the skin. The caffeine in coffee stimulates the skin and improves blood flow to the face, which makes the skin look fresh, radiant and bright.

Paw Lotion Bar

Don't use human lotion on the dogs' pads, it may soften pads too much and lead to more issues. Instead look into pad moisturizers specifically designed for a dog's dried out paws. While rubbing in the lotion give the dog a paw massage by rubbing between the pads and up in between each toe.

Avoid these ingredients at all costs, because they’re toxic to dogs:

• Zinc oxide: commonly included in sunscreen and diaper rash creams
• Diclofenac: used to treat joint pain
• Calcipotriene: used to treat psoriasis

Other ingredients in topical creams or skin treatments can be dangerous to dogs if ingested. Before using any cream, salve, or gel containing these ingredients with your dog, be sure to consult with your vet:

• Hydrocortisone: on its own or in calamine lotion
• Lidocaine: numbing agent
