"I have problematic skin and I use your goat's milk soaps and body butter every day and night on my entire body and it does wonders". -Sally, NY
"I picked up some of your soaps at beauty salon {Renacer LLC} while I was on vacation and I LOVE them!!! It has done my skin wonders. I've spent a lot of money on different soaps for my "over 40" skin problems. I used your soap when I got home and have given up all the high priced stuff at the mall."

TheOrganicForYou remains a blog based of skincare, but today I wanted to offer some commentary on another matter.
I always wanted to wear some retro fashion to my look with cat-eye glasses!

"Cat-eye glasses (sometimes written as “cat eye” glasses) are a shape of women's and sometimes men's eyeglasses. They have an upsweep at the outer edges where the temple arms join the frame front. Hence the flare-out front corners are the unique character of cat-eye glasses. They are a great match for low foreheads, tapered jaw lines, and longer, slimmer noses. They were mainly popular in the 1950s and 1960s among women and are often associated with the beehive hairstyle and other looks of the period. They preceded the large bug-eye glasses of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s."

The dramatic cat eye shape is a retro styled frame that is making a comeback in contemporary fashion. The retro-inspired cat-eye rim shape is the perfect option for anyone looking to stand out from the crowd and to make a bold fashion statement with your glasses.
I was looking around Instagram about cat-eye glasses to see how they look on different women. I was  wondering if a cat eye frame would look good on me before getting one pair. After I spent hours searching I found lots of post with different women of different face shapes using cat-eyes and all of them look good and fashionistas.

Cat-eye plastic frame glasses which I bought from Firmoo
So, I felt a desire to ditch my usual square style glasses for some cat-eye ones. Cat-eye frames don’t appear to be particularly coveted in my eye, so I sought out some other suppliers and encountered a website named Firmoo.

Firmoo dub themselves a ‘Global Online Optical Store’ and offer prescription eye wear at reasonable prices across the globe. They provide a very consumer friendly service and offer numerous deals, along with select free glasses for new customers and free eye wear for bloggers in return for a review, which means it’s fairly easy to find appraisals of their glasses. However, with the client receiving a free product, it’s difficult to deduce whether these reviews were done in earnest. I have no partnership with Firmoo and thus want to offer an entirely honest opinion of their products and services.

Ordering and Delivery

Firmoo stock hundreds of frames in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I trawled the internet for hours in search of some interesting eye- cat glasses and while they don’t stock any big brand, designer frames, Firmoo had a tremendously delectable selection. If you aren’t after brand recognition, it’s easy to pick out a couple of favourites.
I've gotten 1 NON-RX pair from Firmoo. Firmoo's price for 1 pair NON-RX was less than HALF the price for one single pair at my (former) optical shop! Shipping time was about the same as waiting for my shop to have them made (about 8 to 10 days)
Though they allow you to upload your own picture, their ‘try on’ service is sadly lacking and is solely for style reference rather than size. However, they do provide precise measurements and weight for every frame and customers are able to upload and embed pictures and videos of themselves wearing their Firmoo glasses, which are included on relevant pages and help to exhibit the frames.
People are also able to review and ask questions about the glasses they have either bought or are perusing and — as with all prescription eyewear services — Firmoo offer numerous extras during check-out, such as tints and a variety of coatings, which may incur additional costs depending on what you choose.
I ordered my eye-cat glasses on Tuesday 5-19-2020 at 11:43 am and they were prepared and shipped by the early hours of Wednesday. Delivery from NY to the NJ took just 7 days and was very reasonable at $.5.95 was provided with a tracking code and was able to follow my parcel to its destination. Everything was well packed and no damage appears to have been sustained in transit.

Cost

My eye-cat glasses cost me $5.95 after I redeem (AUFFF) coupon. I just pay the shipping costs. The glasses full price is $25.99 for a Non-Rx glasses. I will be ordering with my prescription next time
!

But for under $100 you can get a pair of glasses with progressive prescription lenses. For just basic, reading, prescription lenses with frame, you can find pairs for under $50, some even under $25. In fact, we couldn’t find any combination of frame and lenses that would be over $100. However, there are some customization that you can add to your lenses that can increase the price. For example, if you want anti-reflective lenses, you add $4.95 to your order. If you want a UV coating, add another $4.95. However, even with these add-ons, as anybody who wears glasses knows, these prices are still significantly lower than what you would regularly pay for prescription glasses. Regularly, for the frame alone, eyeglass wearers can pay $150-200 for non-designer frames, and $500-1000 for lenses.

Quality

In addition to every pair of glasses, you receive a Firmoo branded case and cleaning cloth, along with an additional slip case and 2 coupons code cards: 50next which will expire on the 30th September, 2020.

In terms of frame quality, Firmoo works with different manufacturers, so there is no one type of quality you’ll receive with Firmoo.

Some materials you’ll find Firmoo glasses made out of are: plastic, metal alloy, and memory metal. If you find a pair of frames that you like, you can click the image and specific dimensions are provided to help customers understand how large or small the frames are. Firmoo also offers a virtual try on system, so customers understand what frames look like on their specific face shape. However, as mentioned above, this virtual try on system is somewhat mediocre and doesn’t generate a very good sense of what glasses actually look like on a face.

Cat-eye plastic frame glasses which I bought from Firmoo
The glasses I bought from Firmoo —Cat-eye Spring hinges are made of  Acetate.
The first time I tried on this particular pair, I noticed that it was extremely comfortable and lightweight. That’s thanks to the Acetate plastic material. It sat on my nose bridge just fine, and the temples didn’t feel too loose at all. I went into my bathroom to check myself out in the mirror and realized I made a good choice in this particular frame design. It’s very stylish without being an obnoxious accessory in my face.
After taking a few (well, honestly, like a dozen:) selfies, and post it to my Instagram I knew my followers would fell in love.
The final test was actually to put them on for the whole day. I worked on my Latop for couples hours. Then I head to the kitchen for another couples hours and cook with them. I can tell how comfortable the glasses were.
Usually, without any eye protection, I only last two hours of continuous Lat top use until my eyes would start to get dry. On a typical workday, I usually take a 5 to 10-minute break away from my screen every hour. But that was then, and this is now.
I noticed how I did not get dry eyes nor did my headache come to play after approximately three hours in front of the computer, with this pair of glasses of course. Until today, I always wear this particular pair whenever I’m working.

Verdict

           My next glasses
Cat-eye
"I have another pair coming
soon with a different style
and color you can imagine
."
After hunting around the internet, I am pleased with my new eye-cat glasses from Firmoo. They are a true statement piece among eye wear styles. Nothing declares a bold, feminine and confident personality quite like a cat eye frame. While these may not be the standard every day glasses for everyone, having a pair of cat eye glasses in your collection allows you to wear them for a night out or a weekend of shopping at mall. Wherever you wear them they speak volumes about your sense of style.
