Palo santo is a sacred wood that grows in South America. When Spanish monks discovered its clearing and healing properties, they named it Palo Santo which means “holy wood.” The sweet and mellow aromatic oils of Palo Santo develop over time after the tree has naturally fallen and spent years on the ground. Our palo santo is ethically sourced from a local Peruvian family near the Sacred Valley in which grows wildly in the beautiful regions of Cusco. They only supply us with wild harvested palo santo, meaning not a single tree is cut down intentionally. Only naturally fallen branches of the tree are thoughtfully imported to our lab. This practice is regulated to ensure that the trees do not become over harvested.
